About the Founder and President of RecCare, Inc.

Dr. Lynda L. Mitchell, CTRS, CPRP, is the Founder and President of RecCare, Inc. She strongly believes that everyone needs, deserves and should enjoy a rich and stimulating quality of life. Dr. Mitchell created RecCare as a mechanism to help individuals with physical, intellectual, and emotional disAbilities, as well as older adults with challenges, to achieve this quality of life through recreation and leisure skills development.
Education
Dr. Mitchell earned a doctoral degree in Education, with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, from Temple University. As a doctoral student at Temple, Dr. Mitchell was awarded a Peg Connelly Scholarship, an honor bestowed upon students of promise in the field of Therapeutic Recreation.
